1. JOB PURPOSE:

To create and develop detailed, accurate 3D models and digital sculptures for The Concrete Shop, a design-led concrete brand by Aarya Precast India Pvt. Ltd. The role covers digital sculpting, 3D modelling, form development, surface detailing, model refinement, and production-ready model preparation. The position is responsible for translating concepts, sketches, images, and physical references into high-quality 3D models suitable for visualization, prototyping, 3D printing, mould-making, casting, and manufacturing, while ensuring accuracy in form, proportions, dimensions, detailing, and design intent.

2. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. 3D Modelling & Digital Sculpting

- Create detailed 3D models and digital sculptures from sketches, concepts, images, and physical references.
- Develop organic and hard-surface forms with accurate proportions, volume, symmetry, and form transitions.
- Create refined surface details, textures, patterns, ornamental elements, and other design features.
- Translate 2D concepts and design references into accurate and visually refined 3D forms.

B. Model Refinement & Design Development

- Refine models based on design requirements, feedback, and multiple iterations.
- Maintain accuracy in scale, dimensions, proportions, symmetry, and overall form.
- Identify and resolve modelling issues including unwanted geometry, intersections, surface irregularities, and topology problems.
- Apply design feedback accurately while maintaining the intended form and detailing.

C. Production-Ready Model Preparation

- Prepare and optimise models for downstream processes including 3D printing, mould-making, casting, rendering, and manufacturing.
- Ensure models meet required dimensions, scale, geometry, and surface quality before production.
- Check models for geometry integrity and production-related issues before final submission.
- Coordinate with the design and production teams to address model-related requirements where required.

D. 3D Visualisation & Design Support





- Develop 3D forms that support product development, design exploration, prototypes, and visual presentations.
- Assist in translating creative concepts into practical 3D forms suitable for further design and production development.
- Maintain consistency between the approved design concept and the final 3D model.

E. File Management & Documentation

- Maintain organised project files, source models, iterations, and final deliverables.
- Follow standard file naming, folder structure, version control, and backup practices.
- Deliver models in appropriate formats based on visualization, design, or production requirements.

F. Creative Collaboration & Execution

- Work closely with designers, architects, production teams, and management to understand modelling requirements.
- Communicate clearly regarding design interpretation, technical limitations, revisions, and project requirements.
- Incorporate feedback efficiently and complete assigned modelling tasks within agreed timelines.
- Support other 3D modelling and design requirements as assigned by management.

5. KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR JOB

Education

- Degree / Diploma in 3D Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Animation, VFX, Game Art, Fine Arts, or a related field.

Experience

- 13 years of relevant experience in 3D sculpting, digital modelling, product modelling, character/setting modelling, or a related field.
- Experience in preparing 3D models for 3D printing or physical production will be an advantage.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating 3D sculpting, form development, detailing, and modelling quality.

Skills:

A. Technical / Functional Skills

- Strong proficiency in at least one major 3D modelling / sculpting software such as:
- ZBrush
- Blender
- Rhinoceros 3D
- Fusion 360
- 3ds Max
- Maya
- Nomad Sculpt
- Shapr3D

- Strong understanding of form, proportion, anatomy, volume, surface transitions, symmetry, and detailing.
- Understanding of organic and hard-surface modelling workflows.
- Basic understanding of topology, clean geometry, scale, dimensions, and model optimisation.
- Ability to prepare models for 3D printing, mould-making, casting, rendering, or manufacturing.
- Additional 3D modelling / sculpting software knowledge will be an advantage.
