Location: Manufacturing Shop FloorJob PurposeThe Manufacturing Shop Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily shop-floor activities, controlling manpower and machines, achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, ensuring safety, and coordinating with Design, Quality, Purchase, Stores, and other departments for smooth production.Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and allocate daily production work according to priority and delivery schedules.
2. Supervise operators, welders, fitters, machinists, helpers, and other shop-floor manpower.
3. Monitor VMC, CNC, conventional machining, fabrication, welding, grinding, drilling, assembly, and related manufacturing activities.
4. Ensure jobs are completed as per engineering drawings, specifications, BOM, and quality requirements.
5. Check material availability before starting production.
6. Coordinate with Stores and Purchase teams for raw materials, consumables, tools, and hardware.
7. Coordinate with the Design team for drawing clarification, manufacturing feasibility, and drawing corrections.
8. Monitor daily production targets versus actual production.
9. Control machine utilization, manpower utilization, downtime, rejection, and rework.
10. Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective actions.
11. Ensure correct process sequence is followed for every job.
12. Monitor outsourced processes such as heat treatment, stress relieving, surface grinding, plating, powder coating, sand blasting, and other vendor processes.
13. Ensure proper in-process inspection before moving jobs to the next operation.
14. Coordinate with the Quality team for inspection and resolution of quality issues.
15. Maintain shop-floor discipline, cleanliness, and 5S standards.
16. Ensure all employees follow PPE and safety requirements.
17. Monitor machine preventive maintenance and coordinate breakdown maintenance.

Ensure proper handling and storage of finished and semi-finished components.
19. Avoid material shortages, wrong cutting, excess production, and unnecessary scrap.
20. Maintain daily production reports, manpower reports, machine status, rejection reports, and pending-job reports.
21. Conduct daily shop-floor meetings and communicate production priorities to the team.
22. Follow up with suppliers/vendors whenever jobs are outsourced.
23. Ensure urgent and priority projects are completed within committed timelines.
24. Train operators and workers on drawings, processes, quality requirements, and protected working practices.
25. Support continuous improvement activities related to productivity, quality, cost reduction, and cycle-time reduction.
