Senior Automation QA Engineer / SDET

Experience: 6 8 Years
Location: Bangalore / Hyderabad / Noida

Notice Period : Immediate / 15 days(MAX)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Senior Automation QA Engineer / SDET with strong experience in Python-based test automation, Selenium, Playwright, and API testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks, executing functional and regression testing, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

The candidate should have strong programming fundamentals in Python and be comfortable working across UI and API automation.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Python.
- Develop and maintain UI automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Playwright.
- Create reusable, scalable, and maintainable automation components.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Python Requests, or equivalent frameworks.
- Automate functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end test scenarios.
- Analyze requirements and prepare detailed test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute automated and manual test cases and identify, document, and track defects.
- Perform API validation including request/response validation, status codes, headers, authentication, and JSON/XML payloads.
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Identify flaky tests and improve automation stability and execution time.
- Work closely with developers, product teams, and other QA engineers to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Participate in defect triage,



root-cause analysis, and release validation.
- Maintain automation documentation, test reports, and framework standards.

Required Skills

Python

- Strong hands-on experience with Python programming.
- Positive understanding of OOP concepts, exception handling, collections, functions, modules, and packages.
- Experience developing automation utilities and reusable libraries.

UI Automation

- Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Experience with web element identification, waits, browser handling, screenshots, multiple tabs/windows, frames, and synchronization.
- Experience building or working with Page Object Model (POM) or similar design patterns.

API Testing

- Strong experience in REST API testing.
- Hands-on experience with Postman and/or Python Requests.
- Understanding of HTTP methods such as GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE.
- Knowledge of status codes, authentication, headers, request/response validation, and JSON/XML.
- Experience automating API test cases using Python or equivalent frameworks.

Automation Framework

- Experience developing or maintaining automation frameworks using PyTest / Unittest.
- Experience with data-driven and parameterized testing.
- Good understanding of test reporting and logging.
- Experience with Git/version control.

Qualifications

- Any Bachelor's degree or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
