Purpose/Objective

To manage day-to-day store operations, including receipt, storage, issuance, inventory control, and documentation of materials, ensuring accurate stock management and uninterrupted availability of materials for operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Ensure proper storage, preservation, and identification of materials.
- Issue materials to user departments against approved requisitions.
- Maintain material movement records and stock registers.
Inventory Management - Monitor stock levels and maintain minimum/maximum inventory norms.
- Conduct periodic physical verification and cycle counts.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system inventory and resolve discrepancies.
- Track non-moving, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.
Documentation & System Management - Update material transactions in ERP/SAP/Oracle systems.
- Maintain GRN, issue slips, gate passes, and other store-related documents.




- Generate inventory and stock consumption reports.
Coordination & Compliance - Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and user departments for smooth material flow.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and inventory control procedures.
- Follow safety standards and housekeeping practices within the store area.
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
Material Preservation - Ensure proper handling and preservation of critical spares and consumables.
- Monitor shelf life of materials and maintain storage conditions accordingly.

Qualifications and Experience

Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Material Management, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field preferred.
3-8 years of experience in Store Operations, Inventory Management, or Warehouse Management.
Experience in Power Plant, Manufacturing, Cement, Steel, Mining, or Industrial sectors preferred.
