ROLE PURPOSE

Duville Estates is seeking an accomplished Design Head to lead the organization's Architecture and Design function end-to-end. The role owns design strategy, product positioning, consultant governance and design delivery across residential, riverfront and mixed-use developments, ensuring every project reflects Duville's philosophy of exceeding customer expectations while balancing design excellence with commercial viability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design Leadership & Strategy

- Lead Architecture, Interior Design and Landscape Design functions across the Duville portfolio.
- Define design strategy, product positioning and design differentiation aligned to Duville's premium, sustainability-led brand.
- Own project development from concept and feasibility through approvals, design development and launch.
- Champion design thinking and experiential design to elevate customer experience across residential and riverfront developments.

Consultant Governance

- Build and manage the consultant ecosystem identification, appointment and performance governance of Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape, Lighting, Signage and specialist consultants,



both Indian and international.
- Establish consultant evaluation and governance frameworks that align design outcomes with business priorities and delivery timelines.
- Foster strategic relationships with design firms and consultants to drive innovation, knowledge exchange and consistent design quality.

Project & Portfolio Management

- Drive feasibility studies, product configuration and commercial viability assessments for new and ongoing developments.
- Oversee design coordination, budgeting and cross-functional alignment with Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Project Management teams.
- Ensure design governance and standardization across concurrent projects and geographies.

Sustainability & Compliance

- Integrate sustainability and green-building principles into design, in line with Duville's ASSOCHAM 5-Star sustainability certification.
- Ensure design compliance with statutory, safety (HSE) and environmental sensitivity norms.

Stakeholder & Team Leadership

- Present design and development proposals to promoters, leadership and key stakeholders.
- Build, mentor and develop a high-performing in-house design team.
- Partner with Business Development on redevelopment, acquisition and new-project feasibility.

CANDIDATE PROFILE





- Bachelor of Architecture (mandatory); a management qualification (PGDM/MBA or equivalent, e.g. ISB GMP) is a solid plus.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in design and development leadership across Residential, Retail, Commercial, Hospitality or Mixed-Use real estate.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering large-scale projects (multi-million sq. ft.) across multiple asset classes.
- Proven experience managing national and international design consultants and enterprise-wide consultant governance.
- Strong business orientation — able to balance design excellence with commercial viability and capital efficiency.
- IGBC Accredited Professional or equivalent sustainability credential preferred.
- Council of Architecture (CoA) registration required.
- Excellent executive presence, stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
