Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Accounting Specialist who will be part of our general ledger function. The primary responsibility of this role will be to ensure accounting accuracy, support month-end and year-end close activities and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures. The ideal candidate shall possess strong knowledge of accounting, excellent organizational skills and experience working with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and post journal entries and General Ledger reconciliations
- Prepaid Amortizations related to COGS
- Coordinate and follow through with the month-end closing schedule
- Provide financial reports to management and answers inquiries as necessary
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Interact with internal and external auditors as necessary to complete audits
- Maintain knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, SEC requirements, and other relevant accounting regulations





Experience

- 4-6 years of experience required in accounting role with experience in GL/Revenue/COGS
- Exposure to internal controls and SOX environment in MNC
- Experience with Workday
- Sound knowledge of MS-Office

Knowledge Skills

- Robust Analytical skills
- Good Communication skills
- Should be familiar with Deferred Revenue concepts
- Understanding of Order to cash Cycle
- Knowledge of third party/COGS transactions

- Bachelors/Master s degree in Commerce
