Job Description: Electrical Engineer Hydraulic Press Specialist (Locomotive Industry)

Role Overview: The Senior Electrical Engineer designs, maintains, and optimizes high-capacity hydraulic press systems used in locomotive manufacturing (e.g., wheel assembly, bogie fabrication, and heavy metal stamping). This role ensures equipment reliability, safety compliance, and seamless integration of electrical controls with heavy hydraulic machinery.

Core Responsibilities Control System Design: Develop electrical schematics, control panels, and wiring diagrams for heavy-duty industrial hydraulic presses.PLC & HMI Programming: Write, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC code (Siemens, Rockwell, or Mitsubishi) and HMI interfaces for complex press cycles.Hydraulic Integration: Integrate electrical control systems with hydraulic pumps, proportional valves, directional valves, and pressure transducers.Safety Compliance: Implement safety-critical control systems matching global standards for high-tonnage machinery.Maintenance & Troubleshooting:



Diagnose complex electrical faults, sensor failures, and calibration issues to minimize factory downtime.Automation Upgrades: Retrofit legacy hydraulic press machinery with modern sensors, IoT connectivity, and energy-productive drive systems.Key Requirements

Education: B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering,

Experience: 4+ years of engineering experience in heavy manufacturing, ideally within the locomotive, rail, or aerospace industries.

Technical Skills:Expert knowledge of industrial hydraulics (valves, cylinders, accumulators) and their electrical counterparts.Proficiency in PLC/SCADA programming and industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET).Mastery of electrical CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).Industry Standards: Familiarity with rail-specific manufacturing standards and heavy machinery safety protocols.
