Role and Responsibilities:

- Advise on management of cross-border movement of goods and compliance with regulations governing imports and exports.
- Navigate country-specific restrictions, trade agreements, and customs policies to ensure efficient global operations.
- Advise businesses on their compliance obligations under customs and foreign trade regulations and assist them in undertaking statutory and procedural compliance in a timely and structured manner.
- Adept at carrying out commercial operations with standard knowledge of the government policies & regulations and provisions of Customs, Central Excise, Foreign Trade and Banking institutions.
- Proficient in carrying out import - export operations with extensive knowledge of the government policies & regulations and provisions of various statutory acts.
- Adroit in handling commercial documentation, managing logistics & liaising with dealers, customers & regulatory authorities & local authorities.
- Involved in handling complete commercial documentation for export-import trade in compliance with statutory regulations; interacting with govt. departments and regulatory authorities like ECGC/ DGFT/JDGFT offices for obtaining Advance / DEPB licenses / sanctions & ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
- Maintaining cordial relations by liaison with Central Excise, Customs and DGFT officials, handling Customs & Central Excise Refund formalities.
- Making applications, applying & obtaining licences under various export promotional schemes, availing benefits under licences and redemption of LUT on fulfilment of Export Obligation.
- Procurement of Freely Transferable import licences like MEIS / SEIS etc for payment of Customs Duties as allowed in the Foreign Trade Policy of Govt. of India from time to time.
- Close monitoring of Ocean and Air freight rates for Export and Import shipments and negotiation of the rates, whenever the rates are favourable i.e. comparing the spot rates with already negotiated global contract rates.
- New Vendor development for Customs clearance and inland road carriers from port to plants
- Close co-ordination with Foreign Trade Team and provide non-negotiable documents timely, including group company imports for custom clearance of imported raw materials, packaging materials and engineering equipments and spare parts.
- Negotiation of rates with Custom House Agents (CHA) for custom clearance of Import and Export shipments.
- Understand and interpret Foreign Trade Regulations and relevant statutes,



its amendments and implications to our business on a frequent manner to be used by Procurement team.
- Aid and Advise management to frame its Business of Foreign Trade in a profitable manner.
- Selection, identify and use of export incentives / benefits i.e. Duty Drawback, Advance Authorisation, EPCG, FMS, MLFPS, IEIS, DFIA etc.
- Follow up from H.O regarding critical items for meeting schedules & settling of Insurance claims; addressing problems with Customs and Excise related with export-import, registration, endorsement, etc.
- Coordinate with agents for classification of ITC (HS) Codes for new items. Coordinate with agents in SVB cases.
- Compile data and documents for Refund of Revenue Deposit (RD).
- Provide cyclic updates to Finance for application amounts, approval amounts & realized amounts for general Ledger re-conciliation. Verified the CHAs bills for exports and imports
- Regulate export controls, Free Trade Agreement eligibility & process guidelines.
- Interact with Customs and Excise for availing the export incentives i.e Duty Drawback and Rebate Claims.

Candidate Profile: Any graduate with relevant 6 to 8 years of Customs and Foreign Trade policy experience in the Industry.
