The role in one line
You help early-stage founders become fundable — building the deck, the model and the data room that decide whether an investor takes the second meeting.
What you'll actually do
• Build and refine investor-grade pitch decks: problem, solution, business model, traction, market, ask — with a disciplined narrative flow rather than a slide dump
• Construct and stress-test financial projections — revenue build-ups, unit economics, cohort and burn analysis, runway scenarios
• Run primary and secondary market research: TAM/SAM/SOM sizing, competitive benchmarking, regulatory scan, comparable funding rounds
• Set up and maintain virtual data rooms — document checklists, folder architecture, version control, access logs
• Sit in on founder calls, capture the brief accurately, and turn a messy two-hour conversation into a one-page structured summary
• Prepare investor Q&A; prep sheets — anticipate the hard questions and draft defensible answers with the founder
• Track the startup pipeline and keep CRM and tracker hygiene clean
First 90 days looks like success if
You can independently take a founder brief and produce a first-cut deck and model that needs editing, not rebuilding.
What we're looking for
Must have
• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business or Engineering with a demonstrated interest in startups
• Strong Excel and Google Sheets — comfortable building a three-statement model, or willing to learn fast
• Working command of PowerPoint or Google Slides, with a sense for visual hierarchy and restraint
• Clear written English — you can write a paragraph a founder would forward to an investor unchanged
• Genuine curiosity about how businesses make money
Positive to have
• Prior internship at a startup, incubator, accelerator, VC or consulting firm
• Exposure to Figma, Canva, Notion, or financial databases such as Tracxn, Crunchbase or PitchBook
• Any experience running a college e-cell, business plan competition, or your own venture — however small
Who this role is not for
Someone who wants a pure research or pure design role. This sits at the intersection, and you will be asked to do both.
