Regional Operations Manager

Position Summary

The Regional Operations Manager owns end-to-end execution for all fleet operations within an assigned geography. The role is accountable for regional profitability, customer service delivery, fleet productivity, charging readiness, manpower effectiveness, and operational governance across multiple sites. Unlike the Head of Operations, this position focuses on translating national strategy into flawless regional execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the operational performance of all sites within the assigned region.
- Translate corporate operating plans into executable regional action plans.
- Monitor daily fleet deployment against customer demand forecasts.
- Drive regional fleet utilization and eliminate idle assets.
- Conduct daily operational review meetings with site teams.
- Review loading, unloading and turnaround bottlenecks across customer plants.
- Ensure charging capacity is aligned with fleet deployment schedules.
- Approve regional vehicle deployment and reallocation decisions.
- Lead customer review meetings and resolve recurring operational issues.
- Develop regional manpower plans based on business growth projections.
- Monitor contractor and vendor performance across the region.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are executed without affecting service commitments.
- Identify low-performing routes and implement corrective action plans.
- Review regional operating costs and initiate cost reduction projects.
- Drive operational discipline through audits and SOP compliance.
- Manage escalation during vehicle breakdowns or service disruptions.
- Support launch of current customer locations and operational sites.
- Review regional MIS, dashboards and exception reports.
- Coach site managers and identify future leaders.




- Drive safety culture and regulatory compliance across all regional facilities.

Decision-Making Authority

Authorize fleet allocation within the region, approve manpower rosters, recommend vendor actions, approve operational recovery plans, prioritize customer commitments during capacity constraints, and escalate CAPEX or strategic matters to the Head of Operations.

Internal Stakeholders

Head of Operations, Fleet Technical Team, Charging Infrastructure Team, Control Tower, Finance, HR, Commercial, Sales.

External Stakeholders

Regional customer representatives, plant heads, transport partners, charging operators, OEM service teams, tyre vendors, local authorities.

Required Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial, Electrical or Production Engineering. Equivalent operations qualifications with strong logistics experience may also be considered.

Preferred Experience

4-8 years in logistics, fleet operations, EV mobility, mining, cement, steel or supply chain operations with responsibility for multiple sites or a regional business unit.
