Job Description
We are looking for a Sr. Engineer – Procurement & Sourcing to support our R&D; and product development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source electronic, electrical, mechanical, sensor and custom-made components for R&D; and prototype projects.
- Identify and develop reliable vendors for specialized and low-volume components.
- Work closely with R&D;, Design, Production and Quality teams to understand technical requirements.
- Prepare and evaluate RFQs based on BOMs, engineering drawings, specifications and datasheets.
- Handle vendor evaluation, negotiation, costing and supplier development.
- Manage procurement for prototypes, trials, NPI/NPD and new product builds.
- Track material availability, lead times and procurement timelines.
- Ensure incoming materials meet required quality and technical specifications.
- Maintain RFQs, POs, BOMs, technical evaluation and procurement documentation.
- Support transition of prototype BOMs to production-ready BOMs.
Required Skills
- Technical Procurement / Sourcing experience.
- Experience in EMS, Electronics Manufacturing, Automotive, R&D; or Manufacturing industry.
- Good understanding of BOM, RFQ, engineering drawings and datasheets.
- Experience in vendor/supplier development and negotiation.
- Knowledge of electronic/electrical/mechanical components.
- Experience in R&D; / Prototype / NPI / NPD procurement will be preferred.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.
- ERP and MS Excel knowledge.
