Job Description – Ophthalmology Faculty

Position: Ophthalmology Faculty – Medical College
Department: Ophthalmology
Locations: Chennai, Bangalore

Job Responsibilities

- Provide undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training in Ophthalmology.
- Conduct lectures, demonstrations, clinical postings, and practical sessions for MBBS students.
- Supervise and guide students during clinical rotations and patient care.
- Participate in outpatient and inpatient services, surgeries, and emergency ophthalmic care.
- Conduct and assist with ophthalmic procedures and surgeries as per qualification and experience.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure quality patient care.
- Participate in academic activities, seminars, CME programs, case presentations, and departmental meetings.
- Guide postgraduate students in clinical, academic,



and research activities, where applicable.
- Support the department in maintaining NMC academic and clinical standards.

Eligibility
- Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor: MD/MS/DNB in Ophthalmology.
- Valid NMC/TNMC registration as applicable.
- Teaching experience preferred for senior faculty positions.
- Candidates with relevant clinical and academic experience will be preferred.
