About the Role:
As an Assistant Manager Programs, you will own execution across a defined set of courses within upGrad's portfolio. You will drive program strategy, go-to-market execution, and revenue delivery - operating with a high degree of independence and building toward full portfolio ownership over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio & Program Strategy: Own the development and launch of courses within your portfolio - driving pricing, positioning, and value proposition.
- Market Research: Track competitor offerings, customer demand signals, and industry trends - translating intelligence into sharper portfolio strategy and better prioritization decisions.
- GTM Execution: Partner with Performance Marketing and Product Marketing to drive targeting, messaging, and campaign execution - with a clear line of sight to CAC and conversion outcomes.
- Revenue Delivery: Own revenue and CM targets for your portfolio - working with Sales and Revenue teams, identifying risks early, and driving interventions to closure.
- Program Operations: Manage the operational coordination required to take a program from development to launch - aligning timelines and outcomes across multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Cross-functional Coordination:
Drive stakeholder alignment across functions - taking accountability for timelines, deliverables, and program execution from start to finish.
- University Coordination: Engage with university partners on curriculum inputs, delivery timelines, and content updates - proactively managing dependencies to keep launches on track.
- Business Monitoring: Track portfolio-level P&L;, program metrics, and business performance - solving for issues in learner experience and commercial outcomes and escalating where the situation demands it.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2 - 4 years of experience in business, product, or program management - ideally within ed-tech, e-commerce, or a fast-paced consumer business.
- Commercially sharp - comfortable owning revenue and CM outcomes, with familiarity in P&L; thinking and CAC-level marketing metrics.
- Analytical rigor and structured thinking - able to dig into data, identify root causes, and generate creative, well-reasoned solutions. Comfortable going beyond the obvious answer.
- Clear, confident communicator - able to engage and influence stakeholders across functions and seniority levels.
- Learner-first mindset backed by a sharp understanding of what drives commercial success.
