Job Title: Development Coach
Role: Student Psychological Counsellor
Job Type: Regular, Full Time role
Note: The role involves regular travel PAN India as part of the job responsibilities.
Salary: 30,000 Rs
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide psychological counselling and support to students, helping them address personal, emotional, social, behavioural, and academic concerns.
- Understand students from a psychological perspective, actively listen, identify core concerns, and provide appropriate guidance and intervention.
- Develop and implement individualised intervention and support plans based on student needs.
- Conduct one-on-one and group counselling sessions and facilitate student-focused interventions.
- Conduct Mental Status Examinations (MSE) and maintain accurate and confidential student records.
- Conduct assessments across learning, social, emotional, and behavioural domains, and communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide professional advice and direct intervention during critical incidents.
- Support the design, implementation, and evaluation of prevention, intervention, and student wellbeing programs for individuals, groups, and the school community.
- Conduct workshops and awareness sessions for students, parents,
and staff on relevant psychological and wellbeing topics.
- Prepare counselling and assessment reports and provide formal recommendations for appropriate interventions.
- Conduct and support research in relevant psychological and student wellbeing areas.
- Maintain cultural sensitivity and adaptability while working with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Travel locally to Nspira/Narayana branches as required.
Eligibility, Skills & Traits Required
- MA / MSc / PGDM in Psychology or a relevant psychology specialization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel regularly to branches for counselling and interventions.
- Solid understanding of student wellbeing and psychological development.
- Strong interpersonal, listening, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
- Empathy, sensitivity, and a student-centric approach.
- Ability to be assertive, persuasive, and effective while handling sensitive situations.
- Good negotiation, administration, and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of student information and records.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
