Role & responsibilities

- Perform stress analysis of landing gear systems and components to evaluate stresses, strains, and deformations under various loading conditions.
- Apply Strength of Materials (SOM) principles and hand calculation methods to assess static and fatigue strength requirements.
- Analyze engineering data, document results in technical reports, and provide recommendations for design optimization and performance improvement.
- Identify potential failure modes, assess associated risks, and recommend corrective actions to enhance structural integrity and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, quality, and testing teams to ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, certification requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Support the resolution of stress-related concessions and non-conformities through technical evaluation and engineering judgment.

Required Skill:

- Robust expertise in hand calculations using classical engineering methods, including Strength of Materials (SOM) and Free Body Diagram (FBD) concepts.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements with a fundamental understanding of load paths, loading conditions, and structural behavior.
- Proficient in classical stress analysis techniques, with the capability to independently review, validate, and substantiate results for metallic components.




- Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in static and fatigue strength calculations using classical analytical approaches; aerospace industry experience is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with aircraft landing gear systems and components, including their structural design and load-bearing characteristics, is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills, with the ability to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.

Experience Criteria

- Candidates should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in classical stress analysis, with a strong focus on hand calculations using Strength of Materials (SOM) principles and engineering fundamentals.
- Experience in performing static and fatigue assessments through analytical methods, without reliance on commercial simulation tools, is highly desirable.

No commercial software tools are required or utilized for the above role. All analyses are expected to be performed using classical engineering methodologies, including hand calculations and Strength of Materials (SOM) principles.
