Global Lead - Employee Relations:-
Sapiens is looking for a Global Lead - Employee Relations to lead our Global Employee Relations function, based in Bangalore. If youre a seasoned ER professional ready to take your career to the next level with an established, globally successful company, this role could be the right fit for you.
What Youll Do:-
The Global Lead - Employee Relations role is a critical position within Sapiens People Success function, responsible for maintaining a positive and productive work environment and ensuring regulatory compliance reporting to the VP, Global People Success - Regions. The successful candidate will manage and enhance Employee Relations strategies, handle complex employee issues, and develop policies and processes that contribute to our DNA of Advance the Possible . This role designs and governs global ER frameworks centrally, partners with local People Success Partners for regional implementation, and acts as a strategic advisor across all geographies.
- Employee Relations Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to address and resolve employee relations issues, promote a positive workplace culture, and enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Conflict Resolution: Act as a mediator and advisor for complex employee relations issues and disputes, providing guidance and resolution in line with company policies and legal requirements.
- Policy Development: Create, review, and update employee relations policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current employment laws and best practices.
- Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze employee relations metrics and trends, using AI-powered analytics and reporting tools to identify patterns, predict risk areas, and prepare recommendations for senior management to drive continuous improvement.
- Compliance and Legal: Ensure the companys practices adhere to state and local employment laws and regulations. Partner with legal counsel when necessary to address compliance issues.
- Communication: Foster open lines of communication between employees and management; counsel managers and employees on ER-related matters; facilitate effective dialogue to address concerns and promote a transparent work environment.
- Training: Develop and deliver training programs for managers and employees on employee relations topics, including conflict resolution, performance management, and harassment prevention - leveraging AI tools to build, personalize, and scale training content.
- Case Management: Oversee the investigation and resolution of employee complaints and grievances, using AI-enabled case management tools to ensure a fair, thorough, and efficient process.
- Global ER Ownership: Design and own the global ER framework and operating model, establishing Sapiens India-based ER function for all geographies. Define global ER policies and practices centrally, enabling local teams to manage regional implementation with appropriate nuance.
- People Success Partnership: Collaborate with country People Success Leaders and local People Success Partners to implement ER frameworks regionally, acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert across all geographies, including India, APAC, and globally.
- Shared Services Integration:
Partner closely with case managers within the Shared Services team to ensure seamless end-to-end ER case management, driving consistency and quality in case resolution outcomes globally.
- AI-Driven Efficiency: Actively identify and implement opportunities to use AI and automation tools across ER processes - case triage, policy drafting, sentiment/trend analysis, and reporting - to improve speed, consistency, and decision quality.
- Recruitment Compliance Support: Participate in recruitment and dismissal processes and govern employee background checks.
What to Have for This Position
Must-Have Skills:-
- Experience required: 10-15 years
- At least 7+ years of experience in employee relations roles in global companies
- MA in Organizational Psychology, Behavioural Science, or a related field, or MBA/HR
- In-depth knowledge and experience of employment laws globally, with expertise across India, Europe and North America
- Mandatory - AI Tool Proficiency: Working proficiency with AI tools (e.g., generative AI, AI-assisted analytics, and case/workflow automation platforms), and comfort using AI to support case management, policy drafting, data analysis, and reporting
