Patent Associate / Patent Consultant (Nutrition/Packaging)

OBJECTIVE OF THE FUNCTION FOR NUTRITION:

Coordinate the necessary Intellectual Property activities within assigned scope to provide optimum support to all Business Units in handling patent matters related to:

- Enteral & Parenteral Nutrition including pharmaceutical matters
- Patent landscaping, patent drafting, patent invalidation and freedom to operate analysis
- Conduct comprehensive patent landscape analysis for products primarily related to Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition
- Supporting strategic market entry decisions for global initiatives
- Retrieve and evaluate patent data from specialized databases
- Perform Freedom to Operate (FTO) searches and prepare detailed evaluation reports to assess potential risks and opportunities
- Manage patent-related matters in the Nutrition domain, including filing and prosecution of patent applications for innovations developed by Nutrition Scientists.
- Prior art searches
- Patent invalidation





OBJECTIVE OF THE FUNCTION FOR PACKAGING:

Coordinate the necessary Intellectual Property activities within assigned scope to provide optimum support to all Business Units in handling patent matters related to:

- Pharmaceutical and Medical Nutrition Packaging (for instance vials, ampoules, bottles, bags, pouches, blisters, syringes including their components, materials, and production),
- Process engineering related to Pharmaceutical and Medical Nutrition product production (including hardware and software aspects), and
- Automated Compounders (including hardware and software aspects).

Handling patent matters includes:

- searches and analyses for patent landscaping, patent invalidation, patentability and freedom to operate analyses,

- patent application drafting, and

- patent application filing and prosecution.
