The Contacts Team is at the heart of our CRM platform, managing the core infrastructure for contact records, views, filters, segmentation, and more. Every product surface (for example, automation, campaigns, pipelines, or reporting) interacts with Contacts. Were building scalable, reliable, and flexible systems that power millions of interactions daily.

In this role, you will drive technical outcomes as a hands-on Individual Contributor. You will own high-impact initiatives across the Contacts domain.

Responsibilities

- Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Backend Development: Build high-performance, reliable microservices capable of handling large-scale workloads.
- Backend Development: Write clean, effective, and maintainable production-quality code.
- Backend Development: Develop reusable components and services following engineering best practices.
- Backend Development: Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to system architecture.
- System Performance Reliability: Optimize backend services for scalability, performance, and availability.
- System Performance Reliability: Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- System Performance Reliability: Improve system reliability through monitoring, logging, testing, and observability.
- System Performance Reliability: Participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis when required.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, QA, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features.
- Collaboration: Participate in code reviews to maintain engineering standards and improve code quality.
- Collaboration: Share knowledge and collaborate with teammates to solve technical challenges.
- Collaboration: Contribute to continuous improvements in engineering practices, testing, and SDLC processes.

Requirements

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend software development.




- Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Candidates with strong experience in JavaScript, Go, Java, Python, C#, or similar backend technologies, and willingness to work extensively with TypeScript and Node.js, are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design and query optimization.
- Knowledge of caching strategies, asynchronous processing, and message queues.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development practices.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Sentry, ELK, or similar.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, testing, and debugging techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working on high-scale SaaS products.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, or similar distributed systems.
- Experience optimizing backend systems for performance and scalability.
- Exposure to Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
