We are seeking a Lead Android AOSP Engineer with deep expertise in the Android Architecture, Platform and Framework layers. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Android system architecture, OS upgrades, and new Android releases, along with leadership capabilities to guide and mentor teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and customization of Android AOSP across platform and framework layers
- Own and drive Android OS upgrades and new Android version bring-up activities
- Work extensively on Android Frameworks, system services, and platform components
- Design, implement, and debug AIDL/HIDL interfaces following Project Treble architecture
- Collaborate with hardware, BSP, and middleware teams for end-to-end platform integration
- Analyze system performance,
stability, and security issues and provide robust solutions
- Mentor team members and provide technical leadership in complex AOSP initiatives
- Contribute to architecture decisions and long-term platform roadmap
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Android AOSP
- Deep understanding of Android Platform & Framework architecture
- Solid experience with AIDL, HIDL, and Project Treble concepts
- Proven experience in Android OS upgrades and new Android releases
- Strong programming expertise in: Java/Kotlin, C / C++
- Good understanding of Android build system (Soong/Make)
- Solid debugging skills using logcat, dumpsys, native debugging tools
