Greystar is looking for experienced General Ledger/Record to Report Accountants to join our Global Finance team. As a GL/R2R accountant, you will apply generally accepted accounting principles
(GAAP) to analyse financial information, reconcile financial statements, prepare general and standard journal entries, assist in budget development, and prepare standard accounting and financial reports for management.

In your journey as a Senior Associate Property Accountant, you will be:

Roles and responsibilities:

- Compile and analyze financial information for preparation of various financial statements and accounting reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data.

- Prepare appropriate journal entries for recording in the general ledger by checking

calculations, reviewing the basis for figures, and balancing and reconciling account balances.

- Preparation of Accruals, Prepayments, Trade Payables, Debtors and Revenue based Reconciliations and its adjustment journals during financial pack finalization
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors on queries related to journal entries and financial transactions, providing requested supporting information, and addressing audit queries to ensure timely completion of audits
- Communicate with in office and other property managers to assist in financial pack review, journal adjustments,



and ensuring timely completion of accounting processes for on-time client and company reporting

- Review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents and research and resolve discrepancies as necessary
- Perform bank reconciliations and wire transfers for deposits, make mortgage payments and distributions, and ensure accuracy
- Preparation of a full monthly P&L; with actuals versus budget and variance, alongside a balance sheet with supporting reconciliations
- Maintain and coordinate accounting control procedures by analyzing revenue and expenditure trends and recommending appropriate budget levels to ensure expenditure control.
- Review fixed assets, placing assets in service, and depreciation
- Demonstrate strong familiarity with key property management and reporting systems, including Entrata and Yardi.
- Complete various financial, accounting, administrative, and other reports, and analyses, and perform other duties as assigned or necessary

Experience and Education Requirements:

- 3+ years of experience as a Staff/GL Accountant for a global organization
- A specialized accounting degree (B. Com/ B.com(H)) and/ or Qualified Chartered Accountant or ACCA degree (Good to have)
- Also, previous experience in UK based accounting and client management (Good to have)
