Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and driven Java Spring Boot Developer with 3+ years of experience to join our core backend engineering team. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable, event-driven microservices. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in application performance optimization using Redis caching mechanisms and implementing real-time messaging and data pipelines using Apache Kafka.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement robust, secure, and scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Java Spring Boot.
- Build and manage real-time event-driven communication flows using Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, topics, and partitions.
- Implement low-latency data structures and distributed caching solutions using Redis to minimize database load.
- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries, working with databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Develop clean, testable, and maintainable code following SOLID principles, OOP standards, and secure coding practices.
- Build comprehensive unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, or AssertJ to ensure reliable CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies,



sprint planning, and peer code reviews.
- Debug, isolate, and profile application bottlenecks across development and production environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 35 years of qualified experience in backend software development.
- Strong proficiency in Java 17+, including Collections, Streams, Multithreading, and Memory Management.
- Deep knowledge of the Spring Ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Spring MVC.
- Production-level experience with Apache Kafka or similar message brokers such as RabbitMQ.
- Hands-on experience with Redis for session management and distributed caching.
- Solid understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL / MySQL, including basic indexing and query tuning concepts.
- Strong knowledge of Git workflows, branching strategies, and repository management.
- Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle and containerization tools such as Docker.

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS (EC2, S3, RDS), Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, or Confluent Platform.
- Knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI.

Education Requirements

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
