Internet Technician — Job Description
An Internet Technician installs, maintains, and repairs internet connections for homes, offices, and businesses.
Main work
- Install fiber-optic or broadband connections.
- Connect and configure routers, modems, Wi-Fi devices, and cables.
- Visit customers' homes/offices to set up internet.
- Check and fix problems such as no internet, slow speed, or Wi-Fi issues.
- Test fiber/cables and identify faults.
- Replace damaged cables or equipment.
- Skills needed
- Basic knowledge of computers, networking, and Wi-Fi
Freshers can often enter this field, especially with 10th/12th, ITI, or Diploma qualifications.
- Ability to use hand tools
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Good communication with customers
- Willingness to travel
- A driving licence/two-wheeler can be practical for field work
Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
