Urgent Hiring - Executive Engineer / Assistant Engineer – Switchgear Design

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Executive Engineer / Assistant Engineer – Switchgear Design responsible for converting customer requirements into accurate, production-ready electrical drawings and technical documentation for medium-voltage switchgear panels. The role will involve coordination with planning, procurement, production, testing, and quality teams to ensure timely and accurate project execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Interpret customer requirements, sales notes, and technical inputs to prepare approval-stage documentation.
- Prepare front views, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), door layouts, control schemes, and other electrical drawings.
- Develop detailed material requirements and technical specifications for planning and procurement.
- Prepare manufacturing drawings and release them to production, ensuring drawings are accurate, approved, and updated.
- Provide technical support and resolve design-related issues arising during manufacturing and procurement.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and avoid project delays.
- Support production and testing activities, including client inspections, by providing technical clarifications and required documentation.
- Prepare and maintain as-built drawings and final project documentation.




- Maintain design and quality records as per ISO 9001 requirements.
- Independently manage project documentation and deliver complete outputs from customer input to final documentation with minimal supervision.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Proven experience in medium-voltage switchgear panel design and documentation.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and EPLAN for electrical design and documentation.
- Strong knowledge of electrical components and control systems, including:
- CTs / PTs
- Transformers
- Electromechanical, static, and numerical relays
- Meters
- Control and protection schemes
- Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications, sales notes, drawings, and customer requirements.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to manufacturing and procurement.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 documentation and quality management practices.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Desired Candidate Profile

- BE / B.Tech – Electrical Engineering with 5–7 years of relevant experience.
- Solid practical experience in MV switchgear panel design.
- Good knowledge of electrical design software, particularly AutoCAD and EPLAN.
- Strong documentation, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of handling projects independently with minimum supervision.
