Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Dev / Tech Lead – Full Stack to lead an engineering workstream on a large enterprise platform. The platform is a React 18 + TypeScript SPA backed by Node.js micro-services on Azure over a Snowflake data platform, with Azure Event Hub and Datadog observability.

This is a senior hands-on role — roughly 60% coding and design, 40% technical leadership, code review and direct client interaction. The person must be able to own a workstream end to end without supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own end-to-end technical delivery of assigned workstreams across frontend (React / TypeScript) and backend (Node.js on Azure) — from requirement walkthrough to production release.
- Translate business requirements from client product owners into technical designs, break them into sprint-ready tasks and estimate them.
- Act as the review gate for the team: pull-request reviews, enforcing coding guidelines, modular and scalable design, and low code complexity.
- Remain hands-on — personally write production code for the hardest parts of each sprint.
- Design and build REST APIs on Azure (App Service or Azure Functions; the platform runs on Functions v4 with Node 22) integrating Snowflake, Event Hub and third-party systems.
- Mentor and grow a team of 4–6 developers; run onboarding and knowledge transfer for new joiners.
- Represent Impressico on client technical calls in US Eastern hours — daily connects, sprint demos, design walkthroughs and production-issue calls — and hold technical credibility with the client architects.
- Work with DevOps and QA on Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, release readiness and production support; drive application errors and performance issues to closure using Datadog.





- Own technical documentation — architecture notes, API documentation and runbooks.

Job Specification

8–12 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a lead or senior capacity on enterprise-grade products.

- Deep hands-on React.js (18+) with TypeScript — hooks, component design, state management, re-render and bundle performance optimisation. TanStack / React Query experience strongly preferred.
- Deep hands-on Node.js — JavaScript / TypeScript, REST API design, async patterns, error handling, performance and memory behaviour.
- Hands-on Microsoft Azure — building and deploying services on Azure App Service and/or Azure Functions, Azure DevOps pipelines, Entra ID / Azure AD authentication (MSAL), Key Vault and App Configuration.
- Strong SQL and data modelling — able to write and tune complex queries and stored procedures (Snowflake, SQL Server or Oracle).
- Solid software design grounding — modular and scalable architecture, low cyclomatic complexity.
- Git branching strategy, CI/CD and code review practised as a discipline.
- Unit-testing discipline (Vitest / Jest on the JS stack, equivalent on the backend).
- Excellent spoken and written English — able to run technical discussions with US-based stakeholders independently.
- Agile / Scrum delivery — sprint planning, estimation, demos.

- Use of AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor).

Required Key Skills

- Event-driven architecture on Azure.
- Working experience using Snowflake (pooled connections, stored procedures, warehouse cost awareness).
- Observability tooling — Datadog RUM / APM and structured logging, or equivalent (App Insights, ELK).
- API gateway exposure — Apigee or Azure API Management.

- Vite-based build tooling and modular / feature-first frontend architecture.
