A New Quantitative Methodology for Abnormal Geometry
You will be the first person to apply a new quantitative methodology to these studies, which will feed into a paper with a strong likelihood of publication, with your name (optionally) acknowledged. If you enjoy research and problem-solving this is an exciting role.
Overview: Role 1 (3+ years Experience): Echocardiographer
We are seeking an experienced cardiac sonographer / echocardiographer to perform detailed manual measurement of pre-acquired echocardiography studies (2D, Doppler, and strain). This is a measurement and data-entry role only — no patient scanning. All studies are pre-acquired; you will re-read, measure, and enter values into a structured Excel template.
Overview: Role 2 (8+ years Experience): Senior Echocardiographer
We are seeking a Senior Echocardiographer (8+ years) to perform an independent quality review of completed measurement studies: Spot-check 10–15% of measurements against the original cine and verify methodological consistency.
Scope per study (~400 measurements):
- 2D linear diameters (multi-view): LV, RV, LA, RA, IVC, SVC, coronary sinus, ascending aorta, MPA, pericardial effusion
- Outflow tracts (LVOT + RVOT): multiple diameters, area (planimetry or 3D), VTI (spectral Doppler), stroke volume, gradient/AVA discordance assessment
- Volumes: LV, RV, LA, RA
- Areas: RA, RV, LA, LV
- Strain (comprehensive, multi-view): LV GLS, 18-segment LV strain, RV free wall strain, radial & circumferential strain, strain rates, time-to-peak
- Spectral Doppler (PW): Mitral, TR, pulmonary vein, hepatic vein, inflow timing intervals
- TDI: 4-wall e'/a', septal-to-lateral delay, septal-to-posterior wall motion delay
- Quantitative valve assessment: Vena contracta (multi-view), estimated 2D AROA (2 methods), all 4 valve annuli (multi-view)
- D-shape / RV-LV interaction: LV diameters (multi-view), septal angle
- Myocardial mass & wall thickness
- Qualitative assessments (wall motion, septal flash, apical rocking, chamber shape, contrast reflux)
Requirements (all essential):
- 3+ years' hands-on experience with at least 1 year performing all of the above routinely (not just 2D diameters)
- Comfortable with strain imaging software (ROI placement, tracking verification)
- Accurate, methodical data entry into Excel
- Reliable and self-directed — this is a remote, unsupervised role with milestone-based payment
- All studies undergo independent quality review. Studies with >10% error rate on spot-check will be rejected
- IAE, RDCS, RCS, or BSE accreditation preferred
What we offer:
- Remote work, flexible within agreed schedule
- 12–15 hours/week (max 4 hours/day), 5–6 weeks
- Monthly Full-Time ₹100,000 - ₹150,000 (Pro-Rated to ₹555-₹833/hour)
- Paid per completed study (7 studies total)
- Explicit methodology guide and Excel template provided
Start date: September 22nd-23rd
To apply: Please send your CV, accreditation details, and a brief note detailing your experience.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
Application Question(s):
- Can you commit to 12–15 hours/week for 6 weeks, starting by Sep. 23rd?
- Are you applying as 'measurer' or 'reviewer'?
- How many years' experience do you have in echocardiography?
- Do you hold IAE, RDCS, RCS, BSE accreditation, or a relevant postgraduate qualification in echocardiography?
Work Location: Remote
