Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Sports State Sports & Youth Repository (SSYR)

Objective:

To provide sports-industry and domain expertise for the implementation, validation, coordination, and management of the State Sports & Youth Repository covering athletes, coaches, academies, associations, infrastructure, competitions, schemes, and the wider sports ecosystem

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Provide sports-industry expertise for the design and implementation of the State Sports & Youth Repository.
- Support profiling and mapping of athletes, coaches, academies, clubs, associations, federations, institutions, and sports infrastructure.
- Define and validate sports-domain data requirements, categories, classifications, and information standards.
- Coordinate with government departments, districts, sports associations, academies, institutions, athletes, coaches, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate sports infrastructure mapping, geo-tagging, and facility data validation.
- Support documentation and mapping of sports competitions, programmes, schemes, achievements, and sporting activities.
- Review and validate repository data for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and relevance.
- Provide sports-domain inputs for MIS, dashboards, reports, and analytical outputs.
- Conduct and support stakeholder meetings, workshops, consultations, and training sessions.
- Support project monitoring, implementation tracking, documentation, and periodic reporting.




- Provide domain-level recommendations to improve the repository and its relevance to sports governance and development.

Experience & SkillsMust Have:

- 3+ years of experience in Sports Management, Sports Operations and/or Sports Consultancy.
- Candidates not from the Sports industry should refrain from applying
- Solid understanding of the Indian sports ecosystem and sports industry.
- Knowledge of sports administration, governance, athlete development, and sports infrastructure.
- Understanding of sports data, MIS, digital platforms, and repository-based systems.

Preferred:

- Exp with coordination with govt based client
- Exp in Sports Government Projects

Qualification:

- MBA in Sports Management / Master’s Degree in Sports Management / MBA / PGDM or equivalent

Key Deliverables / KPIs

- Quality, accuracy, and completeness of sports ecosystem data.
- Effective stakeholder onboarding and coordination.
- Timely completion of sports mapping and data validation activities.
- Quality of athlete, coach, academy, association, infrastructure, and sports programme profiling.
- Timely MIS, reporting, and repository updates.
- Compliance with project timelines, data standards, and reporting requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.

Location : Meghalaya, India

Mode Of Working: On Client Site, 6 days a week

Type of Employment : 1 year full time, extendable for 1 year as per project requirements.

Pay: ₹480,000.00 - ₹720,000.00 per month
