About the Role

Mikan Engineering & Construction Pvt Ltd. is looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Design Engineer with 2–3 years of relevant experience to join our engineering design team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing electrical engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and technical documentation for industrial and building projects.

The role involves coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams and supporting the delivery of high-quality electrical design solutions for Indian and international projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed electrical design drawings and engineering documentation for projects.
- Develop electrical layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic diagrams, and equipment layouts.
- Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, voltage-drop calculations, and other design calculations.
- Prepare cable schedules, equipment schedules, lighting layouts, power layouts, and earthing layouts.
- Design electrical distribution systems, including LV/MV systems as applicable to project requirements.
- Prepare and review electrical specifications,



datasheets, and technical documents.
- Coordinate electrical designs with Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, HVAC, and other disciplines.
- Review engineering drawings and ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Assist in resolving design issues, technical queries, and client comments.
- Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and interdisciplinary clash resolution.
- Ensure drawings and documents are prepared according to company quality procedures and project standards.
- Support project execution by providing technical clarification and design updates.
- Maintain proper document control and revision management.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of electrical engineering design principles and practices.
- Experience in electrical design and drafting for industrial/building projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of ETAP / Dialux / Revit MEP will be an added advantage.
- Positive understanding of electrical distribution systems, lighting, power, earthing, and cable systems.
- Knowledge of relevant IS, IEC, BS, or other international standards.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical engineering drawings and technical specifications.




- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or equivalent qualification.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering design.

Preferred Candidate

- Experience in engineering consultancy or EPC projects.
- Exposure to international engineering projects will be an advantage.
- Candidates with experience in industrial, commercial, water & wastewater, infrastructure, or process plant projects are preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting project deadlines.
