Role Overview
The Trainer – Mobile Phone Hardware Repair will be responsible for delivering technical and practical training to candidates enrolled in the skill development program. The role will focus on developing job-ready competencies in mobile phone hardware repair, maintenance, troubleshooting and servicing through classroom instruction, hands-on demonstrations, practical exercises and assessments, in alignment with the relevant Qualification Pack (QP) and Sector Skill Council (SSC) standards.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Training & Delivery
● Deliver classroom and practical training on Mobile Phone Hardware Repair as per the prescribed curriculum and relevant Qualification Pack (QP).
● Conduct hands-on demonstrations on mobile phone hardware components, repair procedures, servicing and troubleshooting.
● Train candidates on identifying and understanding mobile phone components such as motherboards, ICs, connectors, displays, batteries, charging ports, speakers, microphones, cameras and other hardware components.
● Demonstrate mobile phone disassembly and assembly using appropriate tools and techniques.
● Train candidates in identifying hardware faults and carrying out systematic troubleshooting and repair.
● Demonstrate the use of multimeters, soldering stations, hot air guns, DC power supplies, screwdrivers, testing equipment and other repair tools.
● Train candidates on soldering, desoldering, component replacement and basic motherboard-level repair, as applicable to the QP.
● Ensure effective utilization of training equipment, tools and practical lab facilities.
Practical Training & Assessment
● Conduct regular hands-on practical sessions to develop job-ready mobile phone repair skills.
● Provide demonstrations followed by supervised practical exercises for trainees.
● Conduct practical assignments, assessments and skill evaluations as per the training curriculum.
● Evaluate trainee performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
● Identify individual learning gaps and provide additional technical support to trainees.
● Ensure trainees achieve the required competency levels before completion of the training program.
Safety & Equipment Management
● Ensure adherence to appropriate electrical, electronic and workplace safety practices during practical sessions.
● Train candidates in the safe handling and use of repair tools and electronic components.
● Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment wherever applicable.
● Maintain and monitor the condition of mobile repair tools, equipment and training lab infrastructure.
● Ensure proper storage and handling of electronic components, batteries and other sensitive equipment.
Trainee Management & Documentation
● Monitor trainee attendance, participation, discipline and learning progress.
● Maintain training records, assessment records and other required documentation.
● Prepare lesson plans, practical schedules, assignments and training materials.
● Provide regular updates on trainee performance and training progress to the project team.
● Support trainees with technical guidance, mentoring and career-oriented inputs.
Coordination & Program Support
● Coordinate with the Centre/Project team regarding training schedules, equipment requirements and trainee-related matters.
● Support practical assessments, industry exposure visits, workshops and other project-level activities.
● Develop industry-relevant competencies among trainees to improve their employability.
● Support placement-oriented activities by preparing trainees for roles in mobile repair shops, service centres and related businesses.
● Undertake other responsibilities related to technical training and project implementation as assigned.
Education & Certification
● ITI / Diploma / Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mobile Repair, Electronics & Communication or a relevant technical discipline, as applicable to the respective Qualification Pack.
● Candidate must possess a valid Trainer of Trainers (ToT) certification from the relevant Sector Skill Council (SSC), wherever applicable to the respective QP.
Experience
● Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on industry experience in Mobile Phone Hardware Repair and Maintenance.
● Prior experience in vocational training, skill development or technical training will be preferred.
● Experience in mobile phone service centres, repair workshops, electronics service centres, technical institutes, ITIs or CSR/government skill development programs will be an added advantage.

● Strong practical knowledge of mobile phone hardware repair and troubleshooting.
● Good understanding of mobile phone hardware components and their functions.
● Hands-on expertise in mobile phone disassembly, assembly, component replacement and repair.
● Knowledge of soldering, desoldering and basic motherboard-level repair.
● Ability to operate and demonstrate the use of repair and testing equipment.
● Ability to conduct effective hands-on demonstrations and practical training.
● Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
● Good knowledge of electronic and workplace safety practices.
● Positive communication and presentation skills.

● Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and practical manner.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
