Required Skills:

3–8 years of hands-on experience with Google Looker or comparable enterprise BI platforms

Strong LookML knowledge

Looker modeling, Explores, dimensions, measures, joins and dashboard development

Semantic layer and reusable business metrics

Strong SQL and relational database concepts

Cloud data warehouses – BigQuery / Snowflake / Redshift / Databricks

Data modeling – star schema, fact tables, dimensions, SCDs and data marts

Dashboards, reports, visualizations, scheduled deliveries, alerts and data extracts

Looker administration – permissions, roles, groups, user attributes and access controls

REST APIs, JSON and web services

Git, version control, code reviews and CI/CD

Python / JavaScript or similar scripting/programming

Data integration, ETL/ELT and modern data-platform architectures

Agile/Scrum methodology

Robust debugging, troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop and administer analytics solutions on Google Looker

Develop and maintain LookML models, views, Explores, dashboards and governed metrics

Translate business requirements into scalable semantic-layer and reporting solutions

Configure Looker projects,



access controls, user attributes and content folders

Build dashboards and visualizations for business, finance, product, operations and executive users

Integrate Looker with enterprise data platforms including BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, SQL Server and PostgreSQL

Optimize SQL, dashboards and Looker performance

Implement data governance and row-level security

Develop derived tables, PDTs, datagroups, caching and aggregate tables

Perform data validation, reconciliation and report certification

Troubleshoot dashboard, query, modeling and data issues

Support Looker upgrades, release management, testing and content migration

Provide production support, RCA and defect resolution

Maintain technical documentation and support user enablement

Preferred Skills:

Looker certification

End-to-end Looker implementation / migration experience

GCP – BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataform, Composer, IAM

dbt / Fivetran / Airflow / Informatica / Matillion / MuleSoft / Boomi

Looker Embedded Analytics

Looker Extensions, Actions, API 4.0 and custom visualizations

Data governance, MDM, lineage, metadata management and privacy controls

ERP / CRM / Ecommerce / Finance / Supply Chain integrations

Enterprise BI adoption and self-service analytics

AWS / Azure data and integration platforms
