We are looking for a proactive and digitally skilled News Reporter who can cover stories from the ground and produce accurate, timely, and engaging content for digital platforms. The role involves field reporting, interviews, research, fact-checking, video reporting, and publishing news across websites and social media.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct ground reporting from news events, locations, and public-interest issues.
- Identify and develop news stories through field research and reliable sources.
- Interview eyewitnesses, officials, experts, and members of the public.
- Report breaking news quickly while maintaining accuracy and journalistic ethics.
- Write digital news stories, updates, headlines, captions, and social media posts.
- Capture photos and videos for digital and social media platforms.
- Prepare on-camera reports, video packages, and live updates when required.
- Verify facts, statements, images, videos, and other information before publication.
- Monitor social media and other digital sources for developing stories.
- Update published stories as new information becomes available.
- Work closely with editors, photographers, videographers,



and the digital team.
- Meet tight deadlines and work flexible hours when news events require coverage.

Required Skills

- Strong reporting, writing, and communication skills.
- Excellent interviewing and fact-checking abilities.
- Confidence in field/ground reporting and on-camera reporting.
- Positive knowledge of current affairs and local issues.
- Ability to use smartphones and basic equipment for photography and video reporting.
- Understanding of digital journalism, SEO, and social media.
- Ability to work independently in the field and under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Hindi and English is an advantage.

Qualifications

- Degree or diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in digital journalism, television, newspaper, or ground reporting is an advantage.
- Freshers with strong reporting and communication skills may also be considered.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
