Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with robust hands-on experience in U.S. Payroll systems combined with solid expertise in data, reporting, and analytics testing. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly understand complex payroll workflows while ensuring accuracy and quality across transactional data, integrations, reports, and analytical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end functional, integration, regression, and data validation testing for U.S. Payroll applications.
- Validate payroll calculations including earnings, deductions, taxes, benefits, adjustments, and other payroll scenarios.
- Validate data across source systems, integrations, transformations, databases, and reporting/analytics layers.
- Perform source-to-target reconciliation and verify data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and business rules.
- Test reports, dashboards, KPIs, and analytical datasets against underlying payroll and business data.
- Develop comprehensive test scenarios covering both payroll functionality and complex data flows.
- Use SQL extensively for data validation, reconciliation, and defect investigation.
- Collaborate with business, engineering, data,
and product teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
Required Skills
- 6–12 years of QA/testing experience with strong hands-on exposure to U.S. Payroll systems.
- Strong understanding of U.S. payroll processing, calculations, deductions, and federal/state/local taxes.
- Strong experience in Data/Analytics QA, including data validation, reconciliation, ETL/ELT, reporting, and dashboard testing.
- Excellent SQL and database testing skills.
- Experience with API and system integration testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently investigate complex data issues.
- Ability to quickly understand existing systems and contribute with minimal ramp-up.
Preferred
- Experience with Playwright-based test automation or similar automation frameworks.
- Experience with Power BI or other enterprise reporting/BI platforms.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and Agile/CI/CD environments.
Pay: From ₹1,500,000.00 per year
