- Ensure high standards of patient safety, infection prevention, and quality of care.
- Conduct regular rounds and monitor patient-care activities.
- Assess nursing staff performance and provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Coordinate orientation, training, competency assessments, and continuing education for nursing staff.
- Monitor nursing documentation, medication administration, and adherence to clinical procedures.
- Investigate and report incidents, complaints, and adverse events and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with doctors, allied healthcare professionals, administration, and other departments.
- Monitor nursing supplies, equipment, and inventory and ensure appropriate utilization.
- Participate in quality-improvement, accreditation, audit, and patient-safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and accreditation requirements.
- Prepare and review nursing-related reports, statistics, and performance indicators.
- Promote professional conduct, teamwork, communication, and a positive work setting.
