Job Summary

Dataviv Technologies is looking for a skilled and responsible QA Engineer with experience in both manual and automation testing. The candidate should be comfortable testing backend systems, APIs and AI-enabled applications.

Knowledge of Python, FastAPI and Docker is essential. The selected candidate will work closely with developers and product teams to ensure that every product is reliable, secure and ready for deployment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform manual and automated testing of web applications, backend systems and APIs.
- Create detailed test plans, test cases, test scenarios and testing checklists.
- Test REST APIs built using FastAPI.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python.
- Test applications running in Docker containers.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, performance and usability testing.
- Verify API requests, responses, authentication, error handling and data accuracy.
- Identify, document and track bugs until closure.
- Reproduce reported issues and provide clear findings to developers.
- Test frontend and backend workflows from end to end.
- Validate database records and application logs when required.
- Participate in product releases and conduct final quality checks before deployment.
- Maintain proper testing reports and release documentation.
- Take complete ownership of product quality and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with developers, project managers and client-facing teams.

Required Skills

- Minimum 3 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing processes.




- Practical experience with test automation.
- Good knowledge of Python for automation testing.
- Experience in testing FastAPI or other REST-based backend applications.
- Working knowledge of Docker, containers and application environments.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Understanding of backend systems, databases and server logs.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright or PyTest.
- Ability to write clear bug reports and testing documentation.
- Understanding of Git and software deployment workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and spoken English.

Preferred Skills

- Experience testing AI, machine-learning or generative AI applications.
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms.
- Experience with performance and security testing tools.
- Basic understanding of Linux commands and server environments.
