Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer for a full-time, on-site position at our Bengaluru facility. You will be responsible for the architecture, design, and programming of mission-critical embedded systems. This role requires a deep understanding of high-speed communication protocols, ruggedized hardware interfaces, and the stringent reliability standards required for airborne and naval equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Software Design & Development: Execute full-stack embedded software development, from low-level drivers to application-level logic.
System Integration: Implement and debug high-speed serial I/O, RapidIO, and Multi-Gigabit Ethernet connectivity.
Protocol Management: Develop software interfaces for avionics and defense standards, including MIL-STD-1553B, ARINC (429, 717), RS422, CAN, and AFDX.
Hardware Interfacing: Work with various form factors such as PCI, PCIe, cPCI, VME, and PMC subsystems.
Testing & Debugging: Perform rigorous troubleshooting and hardware-software integration testing to ensure compliance with MIL-grade specifications.
Documentation:
Maintain high-standard technical documentation following SDLC processes and defense protocols (e.g., DO-178B/C).
Technical Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years in embedded software development within the defense or aerospace domain.
Programming: Mastery of C and C++; proficiency in Python and Cython for automation or scripting.
Hardware Knowledge: Solid foundation in Digital Electronics and Microcontroller architectures (ARM, FPGA-based SOCs, etc.).
Tools: Hands-on experience with toolchains such as GCC, Keil, STM32 Cube IDE, and IAR.
Operating Systems: Knowledge of RTOS and embedded Linux environments.
Standards: Familiarity with MISRA C guidelines and safety-critical standards like DO-178B/C.
Preferred Attributes
Strong analytical skills for complex debugging and timing analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
Ability to thrive in a high-precision, MIL-spec-driven environment.
