Production Manager – SS sheet Metal Fabrication (Laser & Press Brake Specialist)

Job Overview

The Production Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of our advanced sheet metal fabrication floor, specifically managing high-precision fiber laser cutting systems, laser welding machines, and CNC press brakes. This role focuses on optimizing machine uptime, ensuring tight dimensional tolerances, and leading a skilled team of operators and fabricators to meet delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

- Advanced Machine Utilization: Maximize the efficiency and scheduling of fiber laser cutters, laser welding units, and multi-axis CNC press brakes.
- Production Scheduling: Convert engineering drawings into daily production plans, balancing machine capacity to prevent bottlenecks at the bending and welding stations.
- Technical Supervision: Oversee nesting optimization to minimize sheet scrap and ensure correct bend allowances and weld parameters are used.
- Quality Assurance: Guarantee high-precision standards for part dimensions, angles, and aesthetic weld quality (minimal distortion/burn through).




- Maintenance Management: Coordinate preventive maintenance for high-value optics, laser chillers, gas delivery systems, and press brake tooling.
- Team Leadership: Manage, train, and upscale operators, fabricators, and technicians in safe laser handling and precision bending techniques.

Core Qualifications

- Experience: 10+ years of supervisory experience specifically within a CNC laser and press brake fabrication environment.
- Technical Skills: Robust proficiency in Auto CAD and deep understanding of sheet metal bend deductions.
- Process Knowledge: Expert understanding of laser gas mixes (Nitrogen/Oxygen), fiber laser optics, and modern laser welding fixture design. Exposure towards, ISO9001 systems , 5S Etc.
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering is preferred.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
