The Service Manager is responsible for managing the overall operations of the automobile service center, ensuring quality vehicle servicing, customer satisfaction, workshop productivity, revenue growth, and effective team coordination. The role involves leading the service team, monitoring daily operations, maintaining service standards, and achieving business objectives through effective workshop management.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Service Center Operations

- Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the service center.
- Ensure smooth coordination between Service Advisors, Technicians, Washing Team, Spare Parts, and Bodyshop.
- Monitor workshop workflow, job allocation, and vehicle delivery schedules.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, tools, equipment, and service facilities.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and discipline within the workshop.

B. Customer Relationship & Satisfaction

- Ensure professional customer handling and timely communication.
- Monitor customer complaints and ensure quick resolution.
- Ensure proper follow-up with customers after service completion.
- Improve customer retention, repeat visits, and service experience.
- Ensure customers receive accurate information regarding service status, charges, and delivery time.

C. Workshop Performance & Productivity

- Monitor technician productivity, job completion, and workshop efficiency.
- Ensure timely completion of service jobs and minimize vehicle delivery delays.
- Monitor pending jobs, repeat repairs, and customer complaints.
- Ensure adherence to Honda service standards and company procedures.
- Coordinate with the technical team to resolve complex service issues.

Revenue & Business Development

- Monitor service center revenue, labour sales, spare parts sales, and value-added services.
- Improve service retention and customer visit frequency.
- Promote service-related products and programs, including EW+, AMC, and other approved offerings.
- Monitor workshop performance and identify opportunities for business improvement.
- Coordinate with management on service business planning and performance review.

E. Team Management & Development

- Supervise and guide all service department employees.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor employee performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings and communicate management instructions.
- Identify training requirements and improve technical and customer-handling skills.
- Maintain discipline, attendance, and professional conduct.
- Encourage teamwork and effective communication between departments.

F. Quality Control & Technical Coordination

- Ensure proper diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of vehicles.
- Monitor repeat complaints and quality issues.
- Ensure proper PDI and final inspection before vehicle delivery, where applicable.
- Coordinate with the Final Inspector / QC team to maintain service quality.
- Ensure customer vehicles are delivered in proper condition.

G. Reports & Documentation





- Monitor daily service performance and workshop reports.
- Review service bookings, job cards, vehicle pending lists, and delivery status.
- Monitor customer complaints and resolution reports.
- Submit regular performance updates to management.
- Coordinate with Accounts and Spare Parts departments for operational requirements.

H. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable safety requirements.
- Maintain workshop safety standards and proper use of equipment.
- Ensure responsible handling of customer vehicles and company assets.
- Report major incidents, operational issues, and risks to management promptly.

3. Required Qualifications & Skills

- Diploma / Degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in automobile service center operations.
- Experience in service team management and workshop supervision.
- Good knowledge of two-wheeler service operations and technical processes.
- Strong customer relationship and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
- Basic knowledge of service management software and MS Excel.

- Customer satisfaction and complaint resolution.
- Workshop productivity and operational efficiency.
- Service revenue and customer retention.
- Quality of repairs and reduction of repeat complaints.
- Timely vehicle delivery.
- Technician performance and team development.
- Compliance with company service standards.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
