Job Description: Cloud WAF Engineer

Location: Pan India (Hybrid)

Experience: 5-12 Years

Primary skill: WAF tuning

Secondary skill: Automation skills (Python, PowerShell).

We are looking for a Cloud WAF Engineer with strong expertise in Web Application Security, WAF Operations, and Cloud Security to support enterprise-scale WAF deployments and ongoing security operations. The role involves WAF tuning, custom rule management, false-positive analysis, incident support, and DevSecOps automation across cloud and on-premises environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and optimize WAF solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Perform WAF tuning, false-positive analysis, and custom rule development.
- Support application onboarding, exception handling, and policy updates.
- Work closely with SOC, Cyber Security, Cloud, and Application teams.
- Support DevSecOps automation pipelines and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Troubleshoot WAF, network,



and service-related issues.
- Engage with vendors and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience with Azure WAF, F5 ASM, Akamai, or similar WAF technologies.
- Solid understanding of Web Application Security and OWASP Top 10.
- Experience in WAF rule creation, tuning, and log analysis.
- Background in SOC/CSIRT, Incident Response, or Security Operations.
- Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud environments.
- Knowledge of HTTPS, SSL/TLS certificates, rate limiting, and security monitoring.
- Experience with DevSecOps, automation, and Agile delivery models.

Preferred Skills

- Splunk/SIEM platforms
- Python or scripting experience
- IAM/IDAM knowledge
- Cloud-native security controls and automation
