Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Python Technical Lead to own backend architecture and provide technical direction for a large-scale SaaS platform.

The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on expertise in Python, distributed systems, microservices, Apache Kafka, SQL/NoSQL databases, and system architecture. The role involves solving complex technical problems, designing scalable systems, and guiding engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and define the backend architecture for a large-scale SaaS platform.
- Design and lead implementation of distributed and event-driven systems.
- Drive adoption of Apache Kafka and event-driven messaging architectures.
- Design scalable Python-based microservices and backend systems.
- Define data strategies using SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Ensure scalability, availability, reliability, security, and performance.
- Review system designs, code, and architectural decisions.
- Establish backend engineering standards and best practices.
- Mentor and guide software engineers and technical teams.
- Troubleshoot complex production and architectural issues.
- Lead incident reviews, root-cause analysis, and architectural improvements.
- Collaborate with Product, DevOps, QA, and Engineering leadership teams.
- Contribute to technical roadmap and long-term platform strategy.
- Support technical hiring, interviews, and team growth.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python.
- Strong experience designing and building distributed systems.




- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
- Experience building and scaling SaaS platforms.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
- Excellent system design and software architecture skills.
- Hands-on experience with SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases.
- Experience working with large and complex codebases.
- Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring.
- Strong understanding of scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization.
- Experience working in Linux-based production environments.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with Graph Databases such as Neo4j or JanusGraph.
- Hands-on experience with Java.
- Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native platforms.
- Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, security, and data protection.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, observability, and distributed tracing.
