Role Purpose

- Ensure Evolute's POS, biometric, Android, IoT, mobility, printer, Sound Box, and embedded products meet rigorous quality standards before they reach customers across 20+ countries.
- Reduce field escapes and post-release defects by catching hardware-software integration issues early in the test cycle.
- The role requires strong testing fundamentals, analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced product development environment.
- Execute API and integration testing using tools such as Postman, perform printer and peripheral testing, including connectivity, command/protocol, print quality, and functional validation.

Validate Sound Box/audio functionality, including voice announcements and related functional scenarios, Perform testing under different network conditions and connectivity scenarios.

Support pre-release, pre-production, production validation, and SQA release sign-off activities.

- Give Development and Product teams fast, reliable defect feedback so release timelines stay on track.
- Build repeatable, scalable test coverage — functional, regression, and device/peripheral — as the product portfolio grows.

- Strengthen product quality and reliability across Evolute's device portfolio, supporting the Group's growth and customer-trust goals.
- Contribute to shift-left testing practices that reduce the cost and time of defect resolution.
- Support certification and compliance readiness for regulated markets.
- Help build a scalable, repeatable QA process as new products and markets are added.
- Functional Contribution:
- Execute functional, integration, system, regression, sanity, compatibility, and exploratory testing.
- Validate device features, hardware-software integration, peripherals, and communication interfaces.
- Design, review, and execute test cases, test plans, and validation checklists.
- Identify, reproduce, and track defects with clear logs and evidence, and support root-cause-oriented debugging with Development teams.
- Prepare transparent test reports, defect reports, and release validation documentation.

Success Indicators in First 6 Months

- Independently owns test execution for at least one product line (e.g., POS, biometric, or Android devices).
- Test cases and validation checklists are consistently reviewed and adopted by the team.
- Defect reports are clear and reproducible, needing minimal back-and-forth with Development.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of Jira, ADB/Android Studio, and Git/SVN in day-to-day testing.
- Contributes end-to-end to at least one regression or release sign-off cycle.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, IT, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of software testing experience, ideally in a product-based or hardware-integrated environment.
- Hands-on exposure to Android, embedded, POS, or device testing.
- Comfortable working directly with hardware, logs, and cross-functional Development/Product teams.
