Qualification: M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or related field
About The Role
We are looking for an experienced R&D; qualified to work on iron‑based pharmaceutical products. The role involves process development, optimization, troubleshooting, scale‑up, and technology transfer for injectable/API formulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize iron complexes (ferric/ferrous) and related products.
- Conduct lab and pilot‑scale experiments for new product development.
- Work on reaction chemistry, complex formation, precipitation, oxidation/reduction.
- Develop processes for iron sucrose, ferric carboxymaltose, iron polymaltose, iron isomaltoside.
- Optimize product quality (molecular weight, particle size, solubility, stability, purity).
- Troubleshoot yield, precipitation, and batch consistency issues.
- Document process parameters, reports, and scale‑up protocols.
- Collaborate with QC, QA, Production, and Engineering teams.
- Support pilot trials, validation batches, and technology transfer.
Desired Skills
- Strong knowledge of iron chemistry and coordination chemistry.
- Hands‑on experience in iron complex/API development.
- Understanding of oxidation/reduction chemistry and process parameters.
- Experience in process optimization and scale‑up.
- Ability to correlate process parameters with analytical results.
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
Preferred Background
- Candidates with direct experience in pharmaceutical/API injectable iron products will be highly preferred.
- Exposure to process development, scale‑up, and tech transfer in pharma manufacturing.
