Role Description The Biotechnology Analyst internship is an on-site role based in Thiruvananthapuram Taluk. Interns will assist in laboratory experiments related to waste-to-resource conversion, including sample preparation, basic microbiological and biochemical assays, and data collection. Daily activities may include monitoring bioprocess conditions, recording and organizing experimental data, and supporting the optimization of treatment or recovery processes under supervision. The role also involves reviewing scientific literature, preparing concise reports or presentations on findings, and collaborating with team members to improve experimental methods. Interns are expected to follow safety protocols, maintain lab cleanliness,



and contribute to project documentation and analysis.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry, or related life sciences, with ongoing or completed studies at the undergraduate or graduate level.
- Practical laboratory skills such as aseptic technique, handling of biological samples, use of basic lab equipment, and adherence to safety standards.
- Analytical and research abilities, including literature review, data analysis, and clear documentation of experimental procedures and results.
- Interest in environmental sustainability, waste management, and resource recovery, with willingness to learn industry-relevant processes and regulations.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions, ask clarifying questions, and work collaboratively in an in office setting.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to manage time and multiple tasks in a laboratory environment.
- Familiarity with basic computer applications (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, presentation tools); experience with scientific data analysis software is an advantage.
- Prior internship, project work, or academic research experience in biotechnology or environmental sciences is beneficial but not mandatory.
