Role: Brake & Suspension CAE Analysis (Strength / Durability / NVH)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare finite element models of Vehicle Chassis (Brake, Suspension & Steering) components and subsystems.
- Apply basic loading and boundary conditions for structural, thermal and modal analysis of chassis parts especially brakes.
- Carry CAE Analysis and establish correlation of results with actual tests.
- Result interpretation and detailed analysis report preparation.
- Efficient execution of CAE activities for model development, Value Enhancement, Quality resolution projects at different product development stages.
- Participation in problems trouble shooting and after-analysis, proposing countermeasures and support in implementation.
- Supporting design team to generate & evaluate weight & cost reduction proposals.
- Support the team in improvement and generation of CAE methodology.
Competency Requirements:
(a) Technical/ Functional:
- Good knowledge of functioning and design of Chassis parts and subsystems especially brakes.
- Ability to perform virtual validation interpreting physical test conditions.
- Excellent knowledge of Noise and Vibration, Fatigue & Theory of Elasticity.
- Candidate should have:
- Valuable Concept of FEA, Analysis of part level, sub system level and vehicle level
- Experience in using Pre / Solver / Post tools like Hypermesh, Hyperview, Estech Sequal, ABAQUS
- Experience in doing NVH analysis using Solver MSC Nastran.
- Desired: Experience on Brake parts NVH, Structural CAE. Suspension & Steering CAE know-how is added advantage.
