About the Role:
As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Sr. SDET), you are a technical leader and quality engineering strategist responsible for shaping the future of how we build and release software on a scale. You play a key role in transforming complex business and functional requirements into robust test automation solutions, frameworks, and quality strategies. Youll collaborate with architects, engineers, product owners, and DevOps teams to influence design decisions, elevate code quality, and embed quality practices across the entire SDLC. You will advance test automation architecture, integrate quality into CI/CD pipelines, and drive innovation in our DevOps-enabled engineering culture. Youll champion testability, scalability, resiliency, and performance to ensure our platforms meet the highest standards of quality.
What Youll Do:

- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-grade test automation frameworks, tools, and reusable components.
- Define and enforce best practices for test automation, performance, scalability, and durability testing across services and systems.
- Partner with engineering teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, enabling rapid feedback and continuous quality.
- Perform code reviews and maintain high standards for test coverage, maintainability, and engineering excellence.
- Leverage tools like SonarQube to identify test gaps, risks, and code quality issues early in the lifecycle.
- Guide implementation of modern testing strategies including TDD, BDD, contract testing, and service virtualization.
- Influence architecture and technical design to align with end-to-end quality goals.
- Ensure user stories and requirements are explicit, measurable, and testable.
- Proactively identify and resolve quality risks across systems and releases.




- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering leads to define and meet quality gates, metrics, and release-readiness thresholds.
- Mentor and coach SDETs, QA engineers, and automation developers to raise the technical bar and foster test-first culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality requirements, release readiness, and engineering objectives.
- Serve as the liaison between engineering and domain-specific test execution teams to ensure full end-to-end validation.
- Evangelize a culture of test automation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

What Youll Bring:

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience (required).
- 6+ years of software development/testing experience using 3+ programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks and tools, including:Selenium, TestNG, Appium, Sauce Labs, Rest Assured, Postman, Cucumber, Jasmine, Protractor, playwright etc.
- 6+ years of experience implementing automated testing strategies in CI/CD pipelines and leveraging: TDD, BDD, contract testing, and virtualization techniques.
- Proven experience designing testing strategies for multi-tiered systems, microservices, APIs.
- Demonstrated success in leading test efforts, influencing design, and mentoring engineers in automation and QA practices.

Must Have Skills:

- Application & Microservice: Java, Spring boot, API & Service Design
- Any CI/CD Tools: Gitlab Pipeline/Test Automation/GitHub Actions/ Jenkins /Circle CI/YAML/Helm
- App Platform: Docker & Containers (Kubernetes)
- Any Databases: SQL & NOSQL (Cassandra/Oracle/Snowflake/MongoDB/Databricks)
- Any Messaging: Kafka, Rabbit MQ
- Any Observability/Monitoring: Splunk/ Grafana/ Open Telemetry /ELK Stack/ Datadog/ New Relic/ Prometheus)
- Data migrations in pipelines (SQL Server, MongoDB)
