The Role & Impact

We are seeking a skilled Enterprise Integrations & API Engineer to take complete ownership of our client onboarding integration pipelines and B2B API gateway. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain secure integration connectors that ingest data from diverse external enterprise systems into our core platform. You will act as the technical bridge between our product infrastructure and our enterprise clients' complex technical environments.

Key Responsibilities & Daily Expectations

- Connector Development: Design and build robust ETL connectors, middleware adapters, and API wrappers for major enterprise systems (SAP, NetSuite, Salesforce, WMS platforms).

- Webhook & Event Engine: Architect and scale our reliable webhook delivery system, ensuring guaranteed at-least-once delivery, automatic retries,



and rate limiting for external clients.

- API Gateway Management: Manage API versioning, authentication protocols (OAuth2, mTLS, API keys), request validation, and developer portal documentation.

- Data Transformation: Write flexible data mapping and transformation logic (using Python/Node.js and JSON/XML/EDI formats) to normalize disparate external data schemas into our internal data models.

- Troubleshooting & Support: Collaborate with customer success and client engineering teams to diagnose integration blockers, payload mismatches, and authentication errors during client onboarding.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

- Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional backend software engineering experience focusing heavily on API design, integration engineering, or enterprise middleware development.

- Technical Mastery: Deep proficiency in Python (FastAPI/Django) or Node.js, advanced RESTful API design principles, GraphQL, and asynchronous programming.

- Protocol Knowledge: Hands-on experience with standard enterprise data exchange formats (JSON, XML, EDI X12, CSV) and secure communication protocols (OAuth2, Webhooks, mTLS).

- Database & Tooling: Solid SQL skills, experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ/Kafka), and familiarity with API gateway tools or Kong/Apigee.

- Communication Skills: Excellent client-facing technical communication skills and the ability to translate complex integration requirements into clean code.
