Responsibilities

We are looking for experienced SMF Test Engineers with strong expertise in 4G EPC and 5G Core Packet Core networks. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in testing, deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and validation of packet core network functions.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform system testing and validation of 5G Core / 4G EPC network functions.
- Work hands-on with 5G SMF and/or 4G EPC products such as PGW, SAEGW, and SGW.
- Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and validate packet core network functions in lab or production environments.
- Perform testing in Kubernetes-based containerized environments.
- Analyze and validate end-to-end telecom call flows, including:
- Session establishment
- Mobility procedures
- Charging
- Policy control
- Subscriber management
- LTE, NSA, and SA scenarios
- Analyze logs, traces, and test results to identify issues and perform troubleshooting/RCA.
- Collaborate closely with R&D; and development teams to drive defects/issues through resolution.
- Develop and execute test automation from Day 1.
- Utilize AI tools effectively to improve testing quality, productivity, and troubleshooting efficiency.

Required Technical Skills

Packet Core:

- Strong knowledge of 4G EPC and 5G Core
- Hands-on experience with SMF and/or PGW, SAEGW, SGW

3GPP Knowledge:

- EPC Architecture & Procedures – 3GPP TS 23.401, TS 23.402

Candidate Profile

- 6–10 years of relevant telecom testing experience.
- Robust hands-on experience in 4G EPC / 5G Core Packet Core testing.
- Experience with SMF or PGW/SAEGW/SGW is required.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong focus on test automation.
- Good understanding of 3GPP specifications and telecom protocols.
- Comfortable working in a Kubernetes/containerized environment.
- Willingness to work from the Bangalore office.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in 5G SA/NSA, SMF testing, PFCP/GTP signaling, Kubernetes, packet analysis, and test automation will be highly relevant
