EXPERIENCE PROFILE: 8-12 years proven experience in Skin care and Hair care formulation development and end to end independent project management
JOB LOCATION: Kolkata 1. WORK ENVIRONMENT
The person will be part of R&I; and reports into Sr. Manager - D2C Program Management – Formulations.
2. JOB ROLE & INTERFACE MANAGEMENT:
The Job description is for a position of Manager/Asstt. Manager Formulations, whose prime role would be to oversee product development cycle for the D2C launch of skin care and hair care formulations.
Identify latest technology approaches in Personal care category to enhance D2C formulation tool box and update the library of novel ingredients through regular interaction with suppliers and 3P Manufacturers.
Co-ordinate with brand teams to understand key benefit spaces and deploy robust technologies aligned with consumer requirements in National and International market
Lead along with brand team and cross functional team members to ensure timely delivery on assigned projects 3. INNOVATION QUALITY
Independently leading the delivery of all the co-ordination required for a project including activities that need to be managed /transferred to R&D;, Supply Chain including Supply Management, Regulatory etc.
4. ACTIVITY SPAN
Knowledge on in formulation, development and evaluation of Skin care & Haircare formulations.
Knowledge of the Raw materials their performance requirements and theircorrelation with end use application in different formats of Skin care & Cleansing products.
Deploy formulations together with full financial workings.
Support with formulation development/lab trials for formulation development as and when required.
Support specific cost saving programs related to formulations and get clearance from the stakeholders.




Ensure that all the products are well tested under all environmental & accelerated tests & with panel evaluations before commercial launch.
Ensure compliance of products with the current regulations and anticipate regulatory obstacles for trouble-shooting in new product development activities and emerging issues throughout the product life cycle.
Assist management & purchase with alternate valuable quality but cost efficient raw materials. 5. PERSONAL PROFILE
Key Skills:
Independently co-ordinating the fast tracked formulation development for all the products under company Portfolio to include Business Project, Innovation
Projects, Cost saving projects across skin care & Hair care for D2C Interact with other core functional teams, eg. Marketing / Brand / Ops for an
effective delivery.
Continously track projects progress and communicate risks (if any) transparently and on time.
Interaction with other teams on product claims and support docket, suggest supportive clinical/safety (in vivo and in vitro) studies, should have knowledge on regulatory compliance (global and Indian), specifications of RMs and FG, Processing & FG.
The person should be capable of selecting financially effective vendors and suppliers for procuring raw materials as per the global quality standards and
norms.
Support specific DTV / Cost saving programs related to formulations and get clearance from the stakeholders.
Friendly & Pleasing personality Relevant Experiences:
8 - 12 years of R&D; and Product Development experience in relevant field of Skin care and hair care formulation and product
development Should possess effective communication and managerial skills.
Candidate preferred organisation : Mamaearth, Unilever, Marico,Nykaa, Reliance, Patanjali etc
