Summary:

The Client is seeking a Finance skilled to support the Software Capitalization process within the Technology Finance function. This role is responsible for supporting project reviews, implementation tracking, impairment review coordination, capitalization assessments, journal support, reconciliations, monthly close activities, and maintaining audit-ready documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with Technology Finance, Controllership, Project Managers, Business Owners, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure software development costs are reviewed, documented, and accounted for in accordance with internal policies, SOX controls, and applicable accounting guidance. This position offers an opportunity to gain broad exposure to technology investments, financial governance, compliance processes, and enterprise-level stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Support software capitalization processes, including project reviews, capitalization assessments, implementation tracking, and impairment review coordination.





• Review project status updates and validate supporting documentation related to capitalized software projects.

• Maintain and update project trackers, implementation records, impairment review files, and capitalization documentation.

• Assist with journal entry support, reconciliations, and monthly close activities.

• Prepare and maintain audit-ready documentation to support compliance and reporting requirements.

• Coordinate with Technology Finance, Controllership, Project Managers, Business Owners, and other stakeholders to obtain project updates and required supporting information.

• Follow up on outstanding items, exceptions, and documentation gaps to ensure timely resolution.

• Support financial reporting activities by preparing variance explanations and commentary inputs when required.

• Review project activity to help identify incomplete, unsupported, or aging balances requiring further investigation.
