About the Role

We are looking for a senior Business Head / Chief Business Officer to lead the next phase of growth for an established NBFC focused on secured MSME lending.

This is a business-building leadership role, not a conventional sales-head position. The candidate will be responsible for scaling both sides of the lending platform:

Asset side: Secured MSME loan origination and business growth

Liability side: Lender relationships, borrowing lines, NCD/private debt, co-lending/BC partnerships and institutional capital access

The immediate mandate is to materially increase qualified loan flow while helping expand borrowing capacity, without compromising underwriting standards or portfolio quality.

Key Responsibilities1. Capital Access & Lender Relationships

Build and deepen relationships with banks, NBFCs, financial institutions, family offices, NCD investors and private credit providers.

Expand borrowing lines and diversify sources of debt capital.

Develop co-lending, BC partnerships, NCD/private debt and other suitable liability-side opportunities.

Lead lender presentations, due diligence, portfolio reporting and credit discussions.

Work closely with the CEO on balance-sheet and leverage expansion.

2. Loan Origination & Business Growth

Drive growth in qualified secured MSME loan applications.

Build sourcing channels through DSAs, connectors, CAs, brokers, banks, NBFCs, industry networks and direct borrower channels.

Develop regional and sector-specific origination strategies.

Improve sanction-to-disbursal conversion while maintaining strict credit filters.

Establish MIS and dashboards to track sourcing quality, approvals, disbursals and productivity.

3. DSA & Partner Network

Build and scale a high-performing DSA/referral partner ecosystem.
