Role Summary/Purpose

The Financial Controller for Energy business is responsible for ensuring robust financial controllership, accurate accounting, disciplined working capital management, and solid governance across all Energy entities (thermal, renewables, and Smat Metering). The role acts as the custodian of financial integrity, overseeing accounting, AR/AP, financial reporting, MIS, and audit, while ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Accountabilities and Performance Indicators

The responsibilities/duties associated with the job. and the factors related individual’s performance are defined :

1. Financial Accounting, Closing and Reporting

Responsibilities:
- Oversee timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures across all Energy business entities ensuring compliance with Ind-AS, Companies Act, accounting standards, and internal governance requirements.
- Lead consolidation of financial statements across multiple Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) including thermal, solar, wind, and international energy assets.




- Review Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements, and Management Reports, providing meaningful variance analysis and business insights.
- Ensure accuracy of General Ledger accounting, cost center allocations, inter-company reconciliations, provisioning, accruals, and balance sheet schedules.
- Drive standardization of accounting practices and maintain audit-ready financial records across all locations.
- Coordinate with business, treasury, taxation, and corporate finance teams to ensure seamless financial reporting and compliance.

KPIs:
- Financial closure within agreed timelines.
- Accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.
- Number of post-closure adjustments.
- Zero material audit qualifications.
- Compliance with statutory and group reporting requirements.
