- IBB DB2 LUW - i.e Database administrator of DB2.
- Experience on installation of different versions of DB2 on Redhat Linux Environment.
- Positive knowledge of Linux.
- Scheduling shell scripts on LINUX environments.
- Good experience in generating DDL's using DB2LOOK command on existing database and its objects.
- Use RUNSTATS, REORGCHK and REORG to enhance application performance.
- Good knowledge on data movement utilities like IMPORT, LOAD, and EXPORT under high volume conditions.
- Tuning using db2advisor and db2explain tools.
- Database performance tuning by configuring database and DBM Parameters.
- Configuring the HADR and monitoring the HADR databases.
- Purescale implementation desired.

- Perform database enhancement and modification as per the requirements.
- Perform database recovery and backup tasks on daily and weekly basis.
- Assist in implementation of new features and program fixes in databases.
- Maintain database security and disaster recovery procedures.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of multiple databases.
- Monitor databases regularly to check for any errors such as existing locks and failed updates.
